Can I order on the app?
No, there is no ordering through the Tabbi app. Open your tab on the app, then order with a bartender or server as usual. Tabbi securely passes your card information to the venue for a faster, more transparent check-out experience.
Why does Tabbi need my location?
Sharing your location allows us to show you nearby venues, specials, and events. Unfortunately, we can't open or close your tab without location data.
How do I make my location private?
Click your profile picture in the lower right corner of the app > Privacy > Toggle off "Display my profile to people nearby" and/or "Show friends when I'm at a venue".
Can I use Tabbi at a sit-down restaurant?
Yes! Tabbi Pay works the same way at a restaurant as a bar. Open your tab before you order, and let your server know you've started a check with Tabbi under your name. Then, order with your server as usual.
What happens when I send a message request on Tabbi?
The message request will go to the person's inbox and disappear in 24 hours.
For venues
How much does Tabbi Pay cost a venue?
Tabbi Pay is 100% free for venues.
Does Tabbi charge the venue a processing fee?
No, Tabbi uses your current merchant processor.
Do customers order on Tabbi?
No, there is no ordering on the Tabbi app. Customers will order with your staff as usual.
Does Tabbi require additional hardware?
No, Tabbi does not require any additional hardware or complex setup.
What Point-of-Sale companies is Tabbi integrated with?
Tabbi is available through the Toast Integration Portal.
How soon after integrating Tabbi will our venue go live with Tabbi Pay?
Tabbi Pay can go live in as quickly as 10 minutes after clicking "Integrate Now," but can be hidden from public view until your team is ready to launch publicly.
What is the onboarding process for management and staff?
After downloading from the Toast Marketplace, a dedicated, human Customer Success Manager will reach out to you within 1 business day for a 30-minute onboarding meeting to coordinate training and marketing materials. Staff training takes approximately 5 to 10 minutes.
